John,
We’ve been so honored by the support our community has shown these past few weeks as we’ve commemorated 27 years of the Innocence Project. The world is so different today than when this organization was founded, and reflecting on all that has changed over these years reminds me how overwhelming it is for clients to transition home after decades in prison.
That’s why our work is more than exonerating our clients—we also want to give them everything we can, through our dedicated Exoneree Fund, to help them rebuild their lives—and we need you with us.
Will you make a donation to our Exoneree Fund today? ([link removed]) We’re so close to reaching our goal, and your contribution will not only help get us there, but will also support our clients the moment they walk free.
The donations you make to the Exoneree Fund support the things that help our clients build their life after wrongful incarceration, from getting into their own apartment to going shopping to pick out clothes for the first time in decades, to purchasing a first computer and cell phone, or a train pass to get around on their own.
Every dollar counts and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of our 27 years of justice:

With deepest gratitude,
Maddy deLone
Executive Director

Started in 1992 as a legal clinic at Cardozo School of Law, the Innocence Project is now an independent nonprofit, affiliated with Cardozo, that exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
