Donald Trump slashed nearly $30 BILLION per year from Medi-Cal—gutting a
program low-income and rural Californians rely on to get health care.

The consequences of this will be severe. Thousands of people will lose
coverage and rural hospitals could close.

Trump’s so-called “fix”? Just $233 million to California—less than states
with smaller rural populations. That’s a drop in the bucket meant to make
him look good while Californians suffer.

reported that Dr. Oz had promised Alaska's senators that they would get a
disproportionate chunk of the tax bill's rural health fund if they
supported the bill. They did. Grant amounts were announed today.' Below is
a graph showing Alaska receiving the second most money of any state.

As Governor, I’ll defend rural California and fight back against this BS.

But not all of my opponents agree. Two extreme MAGA Republicans have both
led recently in the polls. If either of them win, there will be no one to
stop Trump’s attacks on our health care.
