I’m reaching out from D.C.
with some good news:

Yesterday, the House passed legislation to extend the Affordable Care Act
tax credits for three more years!

Since January 1, millions of people have seen their health insurance
premiums skyrocket because Republicans failed to renew these subsidies
before they expired on December 31.

Passing this legislation is a major step toward protecting the lifesaving
care people depend on. The voices of folks in Delaware and across the
country made this possible. That momentum helped push a few of my
Republican colleagues to join us in doing the right thing.

[ [link removed] ]But we still need to keep up the pressure. Will you chip in $10 or
anything you can to help make sure this bill passes the Senate?

Extending these tax credits is one piece of the puzzle in ensuring that
people can get the care they need.

I ran for office because of my experience as a caregiver to my husband
Andy when he battled terminal cancer. Despite losing his life, we knew how
lucky we were to have health insurance. But no one’s access to care should
depend on luck.

That’s why I was proud to vote for this bill, legislation that will keep
costs down and help families stay covered. And it’s why, as long as there
is air in my lungs, I will fight to make universal healthcare a reality
for every person.

[ [link removed] ]If I can count on your support to keep up the pressure on the Senate to
act and fuel our fight for universal health care, please chip in $10 or
anything you can today.
