Team,

Have you ever wondered who draws the district lines in your state — the lines that have incredible power over who gets a say in our democracy?

In many states, it’s elected officials themselves who determine who their voters are — a bit like the fox guarding the hen house.

Visit Redistricting Action’s new resource to explore who controls the lines in your state. [[link removed]]

The redistricting crisis driven by extremist politicians is one that’s entirely preventable. While we respond to this critical moment to preserve our democracy in the short term, we simultaneously have to work to restore fairness in our redistricting process for the long haul.

That’s why we support the passage of the Redistricting Reform Act, which would require every state to have independent commissions draw its maps instead of power-hungry politicians. Crucially, every state would be held to the same standards to achieve fair maps — putting our nation back on the path to a true democracy.

Support Redistricting Action’s work to end unfair redistricting wherever it exists, and help us fight for a federal solution that would stop these gerrymandering schemes. [[link removed]]

Thank you for sticking with us in this battle and for helping us work toward a long-term solution to unfair maps — ensuring that voters get to choose their politicians, not the other way around.
