Too hot to do anything but donate.

John,

The final weeks of July are the dog days of summer – and they’re finally here! These days are typically associated with the hottest days of the summer and a time of calamity (and from where my pup Georgia and I are sitting in D.C., that hot part is certainly correct).

But here’s what they mean for me: our fundraising slows way down. In a normal year, people head out on vacation, so they’re not likely to answer emails or attend events. But this year has been anything but normal!

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person events are on hold, including our high-dollar fundraisers and candidate campaign events. That means Victory Fund is facing a budget shortfall – and that’s certainly a calamity for our amazing LGBTQ candidates. We just SHATTERED our past endorsement records, but if we don’t hit our Dog Days of Summer goal, we won’t have enough money to support them all. Will you make a generous donation today and help us hit our Dog Days of Summer Goal by July 30th?

Here’s what’s at stake: Victory Fund has OFFICIALLY endorsed more LGBTQ candidates than ever before – with even more endorsements to come! We’re fighting to DOUBLE LGBTQ representation in the U.S. Congress, beat bigots like U.S. Representatives Fred Upton and Jackie Walorski and FLIP anti-equality state legislatures in Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida and Nevada. Not to mention all our invaluable incumbents that we MUST protect!

But with in-person events off the table and a fundraising slow down approaching, I’m worried we’ll fall short on Election Day. Will you make an extra special donation for my pup Georgia and help us hit our Dog Days of Summer goal?

Georgia and I appreciate your support!

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
