PROTECTING IOWA FARMERS FROM FATAL TRACTOR ROLLOVERS

Iowa farmers feed and fuel our country and the world, working long hours, making unseen sacrifices, and risking their safety.

In the United States, tractor rollovers are the leading cause of fatal accidents on our farms. But these tragic deaths are preventable with the right safety precautions.

That’s why I introduced legislation to help Iowa farmers retrofit their tractors to keep themselves and their loved ones safe in the event of a tractor rollover.

These measures will save lives and keep our farming communities safe and strong.

CONGRATULATING IOWAN STARLYN PERDUE ON BEING APPOINTED AS STATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE FARM SERVICE AGENCY IN IOWA

I want to congratulate my friend and an incredible advocate for Iowa farmers, Starlyn Perdue, on her appointment as State Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency in Iowa.

This position will give Iowa farmers and our rural communities a strong voice at the USDA and ensure that our producers receive the best and most responsive service possible from their government.

Operating a century farm with her family in Pottawattamie County, I know that Starlyn will be an unwavering champion for our fellow Iowans who feed and fuel our country and the world while delivering victories for our agricultural community.

I look forward to working with Starlyn and the Trump administration to continue supporting Iowa farmers and investing in rural Iowa.

PRESIDENT TRUMP'S WORKING FAMILIES TAX CUTS DELIVER BIGGER REFUNDS FOR IOWA FAMILIES

Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts that I helped write and President Trump signed into law, a family of four earning as much as $73,000 a year will pay NO federal income tax.

The average refund for Iowa taxpayers will also increase by $1,000 due to our work to extend and enhance these tax cuts.

Republicans are committed to letting Iowa families, farmers, seniors, workers, and small businesses keep more of the money they earn.

Today, we recognize our men and women in law enforcement who risk their lives every day to keep our Iowa communities safe.

We also honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

As a lifelong Iowan and proud representative of one of the most productive agricultural districts in the country, I will always stand up for Iowa farmers and our rural communities.

Since my first day in office, I have been committed to delivering real results for the farmers who feed and fuel or country and the world.

Whether that be keeping our farmland out of the hands of foreign adversaries, keeping farmers safe on the job, or ensuring Iowa has a strong voice at the federal level, I take my job serving our producers very seriously.
