John,
Right now, Washingtonians are making their voices heard in one of the most powerful ways we have in our democracy: at the ballot box.
So more than anything in this month's Download, I want to encourage you to make your voice heard and vote.
If you believe we need a critical relief bill that will help keep 60 million people employed, support vulnerable children and families, expand testing and contact tracing, close the Homework Gap, and so much more -- then vote.
If you want to see an end to police brutality, if you fight for racial justice, if you believe Black Lives Matter -- then vote.
If you think the only person who should decide if you have access to birth control is you, not your boss or politicians -- then vote.
And not just for House and other federal races. Vote all the way down your ticket. Who represents you in our state legislature, judges, and initiatives all matter. Make sure to return your ballot by August 4th. You can drop it in the mail, or find a ballot return box or voting center near you: [link removed].
I know things are tough right now, John. And I can't promise you what lies ahead, but, no matter what happens, one thing is for sure: I believe we can make our country and our communities better when we engage through activism and the electoral process.
Below, you will find more information about what we're working on and what we've accomplished in the district and in Washington in addition to resources for COVID-19. Please continue wearing a mask and social distancing. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you,
Suzan DelBene
