As we enter the election year, I want to take a few minutes to tell you about my decision to run for Congress in the first place, and why your support remains important to my success this year:

I won’t mince words: our country is a mess right now.

Unemployment is rising, jobs are being cut, health care is getting harder to access, and life is getting more expensive. You can thank Donald Trump and Republican extremists in Washington. Nearly every major problem facing our nation is one they caused or are making worse.

As the daughter of an immigrant, veteran, and police officer, I ran for Congress to fight for working families like the one I come from.

My family didn’t have much growing up. My dad immigrated to the U.S. in 1950, worked in the fields of the Rio Grande Valley, served two tours in Vietnam, and earned his U.S. citizenship.

He proudly achieved the American dream because he believed that through hard work, anything was possible.

So when I watch Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress attack families like mine, and rip apart the American Dream, it’s not just about politics— it’s deeply personal.

As we speak, Republicans in Congress, fueled by Trump and their extreme leaders, are actively pushing to destroy the American dream and make life harder for American families.

November’s election is critical — defending my seat and helping Democrats take back the House is the best way to put a check on the far-right’s power, and bring back the American dream.

For four years, I’ve been on the frontlines defending Oregon families and pushing for real change for Oregon families, but now, I need your help to continue this fight. So I’m asking: Can you pitch in whatever you can and become a Founding Donor of my campaign this year? Please, anything you can give would help me defend this seat from attacks by MAGA Republicans.
