It’s working! For months we’ve been demanding that Congress extend the expired Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits, and yesterday the U.S. House voted to do just that! This fight isn’t over, so now it’s time to turn up the pressure on the Senate!

What’s happening? Yesterday, seventeen Republicans broke ranks with their own House Republican leadership and President Trump, and they joined the Democrats to pass a bill that would continue the expired ACA tax credits for 3 years—amazing! [1] This is in no small part due to your letters, signatures, stories, calls, and persistence. Thank you!!!!

Now we have to keep up the pressure! While the U.S. House vote is a giant victory for health care; now we need to tell the U.S. Senate to follow their lead. Extending these tax credits is critical for millions of families who are seeing the cost of their health insurance skyrocket or losing their coverage altogether. This will not only impact people who are in danger of losing their health care, but all of us! When millions of people lose health coverage, it puts a strain on our entire health care system and all of us who depend on it.
