Let’s call this what it really is: a betrayal. And even more proof of Lauren Boebert’s failed leadership.

Donald Trump vetoed the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act — legislation that would have helped finally deliver safe, reliable drinking water to communities across my district in Colorado.

Lauren Boebert, who only sponsored this bill after she twice voted against bipartisan bills that would have provided clean rural drinking water, was caught completely off guard with no plan to fight for the people of my district.

Boebert couldn’t even convince enough of her own MAGA colleagues to vote to override Trump’s veto.

This project has been DECADES in the making. Republicans and Democrats agreed. Everyone knew how important it was.

When it actually mattered — when our water, our health, and our future were on the line — Boebert failed.

This is the same Lauren Boebert who is happy to party at the White House and go out of her way to defend Donald Trump. But when it comes to standing up for the people she represents — for something as basic and essential as clean water — it’s too little, too late.
