As we enter 2026, I know many of us are reeling from Trump's oil-motivated intervention in Venezuela, and the horrifying news of ICE killing Renee Good in Minneapolis. Trump and his lawless administration are escalating their cruelty, making it harder and harder for our communities to be safe, to have clean air and water, to be able to walk through our neighborhoods without fear, to afford our healthcare and energy bills.
I imagine your family, like mine, is feeling the burden of daily rising costs from groceries to utilities. Electricity prices have risen 13 percent since Trump took office and are expected to climb more this winter.1 All the while, Trump is attacking and canceling thousands of clean energy projects that would bring costs down.
Too many of our families are struggling to make ends meet while Big Oil and Gas make record profits.
Fossil fuel corporations knew about the climate crisis for decades and continue to mislead the public. Now they continue to get richer off of our tax dollars. They're extracting more dangerous oil and methane gas. They're building costly data centers. And, they're lobbying the politicians in their pockets to keep expensive and polluting coal plants running.
Enough is enough.
