We must elect leaders who will protect our Wilderness

Dear John,

As you might know, the Boundary Waters Action Fund is the powerful political arm of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters. We are committed to protecting the Boundary Waters from a proposed sulfide-ore copper mine on its doorstep – and we are ramping up for the 2020 election.

The Boundary Waters Action Fund, a registered 501(c)(4), was established in 2018 to hold politicians accountable amid the worst attacks on the Boundary Waters in its history. As an entity separate from the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, we can endorse candidates for local and federal offices. We are using our political power to support candidates for office who have committed to permanently protecting the Boundary Waters from the threat of sulfide-ore copper mining on the edge of the Wilderness.

Just this week, we endorsed Boundary Waters champions in U.S. House and Minnesota Legislative races, with more endorsements to come. These candidates agree with the nearly 70% of Minnesotans who want permanent protections for the Boundary Waters, and if elected they’ll work to protect this Wilderness.

We hope you’ll stand with the Boundary Waters in this critical moment by making a donation to the Boundary Waters Action Fund today. The future of this iconic area is in our hands – will you please help us preserve it for the generations to come?

For the Wilderness,

Alex Falconer
