What happened in Minneapolis this week is
inexcusable. My heart is with Renee Nicole Good’s family and loved ones.

ICE is out of control. This rogue agency should not be able to act with
impunity after shooting and killing a woman.

Donald Trump and ICE must be reined in by Congress and the courts before
more people get hurt.

We cannot wait until the next horrific atrocity in broad daylight to
confirm what we already know:

These escalating ICE raids don't make us safer — they intentionally stoke
fear and tear communities apart.

Nobody is safer because of these massive ICE and National Guard invasions
taking over in our cities.

Nobody is safer when families are being ripped apart.

Nobody is safer as federal agents intimidate people for exercising their
First Amendment right of free speech.

Nobody is safer with masked agents sitting outside of churches and
schools, driving unmarked vans and breaking car windows, and stealing
people off the streets.

Donald Trump promised to make America safer, meanwhile he’s threatening to
drag the country into an illegal war over oil in Venezuela and terrorizing
our communities with masked agents in the streets.

This cannot be normalized — and I’m doing everything in my power to hold
this Administration accountable, rein in this dangerous chaos, and urge
the Republicans in Congress to stand up and speak out on this.
