Attorneys and judges needed to preside over our moot court competition |
The Williams Institute hosts the nation’s premier moot court competition dedicated exclusively to sexual orientation and gender identity law. We are excited to invite attorneys and judges to preside over our 20th annual competition on March 14, 2026, at UCLA School of Law.
Competitors prepare an appellate brief on a current legal issue and argue the case before a panel of judges. This year’s problem examines whether the federal government may lawfully ban transgender people from serving in the U.S. military.
California-barred attorneys may receive up to three hours of MCLE credit for participating.

UCLA School of Law is a State Bar of California-approved MCLE provider. This session has requested MCLE credit and is currently pending approval.
