Big win for health care: the U.S. House just passed a bill to lower health care costs!

Families across the country are watching insurance costs skyrocket because Republicans in Congress refused to extend critical tax credits—driving premiums up starting January 1 and forcing millions to pay more or drop their coverage altogether.

Yesterday, House Democrats put their Affordable Care Act tax credit extension bill to a vote to make health care more affordable. And it passed! 🎉

Now it's time to let our reps in Washington hear what we think about their votes. Contact your U.S. Representative to tell them what you think about how they voted.

Nearly every Republican voted against this bill; they didn't even want to vote on it.

No one should have to decide between health coverage and putting food on the table. Health care should be affordable. We all deserve to get the medical care, including reproductive health care, we need without worrying about how we'll pay rent next month.

House Dems have cleaned up the GOP's mess, but the work isn't over. Now the U.S. Senate must pass this bill to give families the immediate relief they need.
