There are moments when the consequences of votes and decisions made in Washington
immediately affect families back home in Michigan.
I’ve always believed progress comes from doing the work and finding common ground.
That’s how the House passed an extension of critical Affordable Care Act tax credits — and now it moves to the Senate.
Unless the Senate takes action, families will be squeezed even further. Some Michiganders have already lost their health insurance, and we are fighting to get that coverage restored before even more people are hurt.
Let's be clear about what happened: healthcare costs are rising because of the Republican “Big Ugly Bill.” They knew this would raise costs — and they did it anyway. That’s why it’s so important that Senate Republicans do the right thing and put their voters over partisan politics.
Add your name to join me in urging Senate Republicans to follow the example of the House Republicans who joined us to support preventing increased healthcare costs for families!
Across Michigan, families are being forced to make impossible choices — between putting food on the table and keeping their health insurance, between seeing a doctor and paying the bills. That’s not acceptable, and it’s not what health care should look like.
I will always fight to lower costs, protect Medicaid, and make health care more affordable for Michigan families. But I can’t do it alone. Your voice matters — and together, we can hold Republicans accountable for the harm they’re causing.
Add your name here to stand with me in support of affordable healthcare.
Thank you for standing up for affordable health care and for the families who depend on it.
Be safe,
Debbie Dingell
