Trump didn’t need to justify or explain his push for GOP-controlled states to redraw their congressional districts halfway through the decade. He simply ordered it, and it was done.
The GOP moved in lockstep to enact Trump’s power grab, regardless of the moral condemnations and cries of foul play. They know that, for better or worse, the American public will go along with them if they act with conviction and strength.
