John,

No one should ever have to work multiple jobs just to put food on the table or afford medical care when they need it -- but for folks who only make $7.25 an hour, that's their reality.

Today marks eleven years since the federal minimum wage was last increased. It's long past time we raise it again.

Last year, Kim and her Democratic colleagues in the House passed the Raise the Wage Act, which would increase the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2025. But this vital legislation has been stuck in Mitch McConnell's legislative graveyard for over a year.

Families cannot afford for us to drag our feet on this issue any longer. Do you agree it's time for the Senate to pass legislation to raise the minimum wage?

In 2016, Washington State voters passed an initiative to gradually raise the minimum wage every year, ending at $13.50 this year. This has helped countless families across the state earn the living wage they deserve. But it's not enough to stop there.

We must keep fighting until a federal law is passed to raise the minimum wage for Americans in every state.

Do you agree that it's time for Mitch McConnell and the Senate to raise the minimum wage?
