Firstly, let me wish you a very Happy New Year.
I pray that 2026 brings many blessings to you and to your family.
As we begin this new year, we do so strengthened by the joy of Christmas and by the hope and renewal at the heart of the season.
This year SPUC is determined to defeat three evil laws that threaten innocent life in our country:
- The Crime and Policing Bill, which will decriminalise abortion in England and Wales, allowing babies to be killed right up to the moment of birth
- The Leadbeater Assisted Suicide Bill, which will permit doctors in England and Wales to bring about the deaths of their terminally ill patients
- The McArthur Bill, which will legalise the same assisted suicide practice in Scotland.
These bills will lead to the deaths of tens of thousands.
They MUST be defeated.
And the wonderful response to our Advent appeal has brought victory closer.
Not only have we reached our fundraising goal, but we surpassed it, generating 116% of the initial goal!
I am deeply grateful to you for supporting SPUC in 2025, and I look forward to fighting by your side in 2026.
