Friend – I told you about Trump's targeted attacks on Colorado because we're a state that refuses to bend to his corruption.

And I told you that I'm holding up a must-pass Senate funding bill until he fully funds the National Center for Atmospheric Research here in Boulder again.

But in case you missed it, there's a new development I urgently need to share: Trump vetoed a unanimously passed bill to finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit and deliver clean, affordable water to 50,000 Coloradans across the rural southeast of our state.

That's not leadership – it's vindictive payback. It's proof we need a leader who won't cave to Trump's childish tit-for-tat antics when basic necessities are at stake. And it's why I need your help to win the governor's race.

Because the real kicker is that most of the folks who would've benefited from this overwhelmingly supported Trump in the 2024 election. So Trump’s not just hurting people he calls "radical left lunatics" by denying Coloradans clean water. His own voters are on the receiving end of his retaliation, too.

But as Colorado's governor, I will fight these politically motivated attacks on our state, every step of the way.

I will shield all Coloradans – regardless of where they live or who they voted for – from the fallout of Trump's reckless agenda and his petty revenge.

And I will stop at nothing to make Colorado the leading example of how a state can fight back against Trump's extremist abuses of power and win.

But that means I'm putting myself directly in the line of fire of massive attack ad spending from MAGA megadonors. I won't be able to make good on these promises without the grassroots war chest to rise above the attacks, drown out their lies and win this race.
