On Wednesday, an ICE agent brutally killed Renee Good, a wife and mother in her community. No one should lose their lives to gun violence and yet, it is a tragedy we are far too familiar with in our nation. Time and time again, our communities are tasked with rebuilding as our representatives in Washington do little to nothing to protect us. We are exhausted.
Today, we assure you that States United and our affiliates will continue the fight to protect our communities from being plagued with gun violence. Our hearts go out to Renee Good’s family in the wake of this tragedy.
We are grateful for our affiliate, Protect Minnesota, who have been on the ground doing the important work of rebuilding. Here is that they have to say:

As details continue to emerge, we urge a thorough, transparent investigation that honors the truth and brings accountability. We also call on all leaders - at every level - to confront the epidemic of gun violence with courage, compassion and meaningful action.
