Dear Colleague,

Whenever I tell American conservatives that Hungary does not vote pro-life and pro-family at the UN, they are well and truly shocked. We have the odd situation where the government of Hungary votes along with the European Union on the most radical of social policies. We at C-Fam have pondered this question for many years, and one of the questions we wanted to explore was whether Hungary has some sort of treaty obligation with the European Union to go along with these policies. We have the answer [[link removed]] in today's Friday Fax by Stefano Gennarini and me.

There is a brand new, rich, Western effort to push abortion on reluctant Africans. They are trying to show that this is an African effort, which is a lie, because it is fully funded by rich Western organizations. Rebecca Oas, Ph.D., has the story. [[link removed]]

A new coalition to conduct abortion research and advocacy recently launched in Africa with the goal of putting an African face on an issue that has a long Western pedigree.
