John,
On Wednesday, I joined Illinois lawmakers, trauma doctors, faith leaders, and law enforcement officials to push again for groundbreaking gun safety legislation, the Responsibility in Firearm Legislation (RIFL) Act.

It’s a basic idea: any gun manufacturer selling their weapons in Illinois would have to pay a license fee. The fees would cover medical care and recovery for gun violence survivors.
It finally holds the industry accountable for the harm their products cause. Passing this law is a major priority for partners across the movement. We mobilized MFOL members in Illinois last year to help advance the bill, and while we didn’t get it done in 2025, we are determined to see it pass this year.
I’m not going to lie, this will continue to be a fight. But we’ve done hard things before, and I trust that — together — we can do them again.
So today I am asking: Can I count on you to make a donation to March For Our Lives? Your donation will go directly towards putting people over the profits of gun manufacturers.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Let’s get to work.
Thank you,
David Hogg
