In order to win back the Senate this November, we need to flip four seats from red to blue -- and one of our best chances of doing so is in Maine.

Democrat Sara Gideon is going up against Senator Susan Collins, the last remaining Republican Senator in New England. Sara is a mom who's spent more than a decade in public office and currently serves as the Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives.

She got into this high-stakes race because she believes Mainers deserve a Senator who puts people first by fighting for affordable and quality health care for everyone, protecting the right to reproductive care, taking bold action on climate change, and more.

Since she launched her campaign to take on Susan Collins, Sara has risen in the polls and given her opponent a run for her money thanks to a massive surge of grassroots support from people across the country.
