News for you: Trump announced on Thursday that he will send federal agents to five more cities to replicate what’s happening in Portland – and Milwaukee is on the list.
There is no need to send federal agents to Milwaukee. Recent marches for justice have been peaceful. We’ve seen an increase in domestic abuse this year, but we should address that issue with help and shelter for victims, not with militarized federal agents. This is obviously about politics, not people’s safety.
Everything Trump does is driven by one consideration: himself. This is a political stunt, intended to divide us – to make him look tough. He thinks if he tears us in two, he’ll have the bigger half. But it's backfiring. Americans are rejecting what Trump is trying to do.

When this administration sends federal agents against its own citizens, division and unrest only grows stronger. Those images of authoritarian repression and violence have no place in Wisconsin.
