We still don't have a vaccine. We still don't have enough PPE. We still don't have enough testing.

As a member of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus, I'm doing everything that I can on the federal level to provide a safe, effective, affordable, and accessible healthcare response to COVID-19.

I've continued to pressure the administration to provide more PPE, and last week, I held a hearing with medical experts to work toward developing a safe, effective vaccine for COVID.

But in order to even properly facilitate the distribution of a vaccine, we need to make sure we're well-prepared — our healthcare workers need adequate medical supplies and PPE, and we must expand COVID-19 testing nationally.

Despite a sharp increase in diagnoses nationwide, Donald Trump doesn't want to fund more testing sites. He thinks that if we test less people that means there are less cases, and he wants to pretend that the cases have gone down so his poll numbers look good. But this pandemic isn’t just going to “fade away” - and over 140,000 people have lost their lives because of it.

Testing is critical in controlling the spread of the coronavirus, and right now, we are not doing enough of it.
