TONIGHT, we’re hosting a screening of the Oscar-nominated short documentary St. Louis Superman, and following the screening will be a powerful panel discussion featuring:

• Bruce Franks Jr., Battle-rapper, former Missouri state rep, community activist and star of St. Louis Superman
• Kayla Reed, executive director of Action St. Louis and leader in the Movement for Black Lives
• Maya Rupert, political strategist, writer, and former Julián Castro campaign manager
• Dometi Pongo (panel moderator), award-winning journalist, MTV News host, and host of MTV's True Life Crime

Now more than ever, it's important to provide a platform for the Black community to share their stories and experiences.

Because Black Americans are disproportionately affected by voter suppression, we must listen to community and political activists on effective strategies to fix the broken system and hold those in power accountable.

Our panel will discuss the ways Millennials and Gen Z make up a critical mass of the electorate, and the issues that affect us.
