Grief, anger and fear rippled across Minneapolis on Thursday ([link removed]) as residents held vigils and protests following the fatal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Macklin Good.

Local officials, including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz, are hammering ICE and its aggressive presence in the community. Meanwhile, administration officials, including President Donald Trump himself, maintained that the officer was acting in self-defense.

State officials also said that federal investigators were shutting them out of the inquiry and blocking them from accessing evidence. PBS News’ Fred de Sam Lazaro reports from Minneapolis.
