We’re only a week into the new year, and the news has already made Tim break his resolution to not swear. And who could blame him — or even the Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey — from dropping those F-bombs in response to the absolutely chilling footage we saw out of Minnesota, as Renee Nicole Good, a mother who was peacefully protesting the actions of ICE, was brutally shot several times.
Tim and April reflect on where we are as a country in the wake of this atrocity, digging into the tension create by Donald Trump as he continues to invade American cities, reign terror on the people, and racially profile and deport people.
They also react DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and her comments on the shooting, with April calling her out for “blatantly lying.”
“Thank God there’s video, because I do hope, if there’s a silver lining in this, that some people can wake up and see how blatantly this administration just lies through their teeth,” April says.
And Tim talks about the deep dive he’s been doing into the White Evangelical Industrial Complex and Christian iconography.
