Look, being a former Republican isn’t my whole story.

My mother immigrated from the Philippines as an organic chemist. I followed in her footsteps and majored in biochemistry before I went to Law School to pursue my true passion – Constitutional Law.

Looking back, the Constitution was my first love. At 10, I was obsessed with the Watergate Scandal. (Little did I know that was child's play compared to what Trump would do).

I know that sounds boring and nerdy, but the promise of our democracy, freedoms, and the rule of law fascinates me – and for years I thought Republicans upheld those same ideals.

I was so wrong. When I finally got a peek under the hood and saw what these lying, sleazebag, horrible MAGA loyalists were doing to our country, I couldn’t stomach it.

Let me be straight with you: Republicans are failing America, and as someone who’s been fighting Trump for years, I know exactly how to stop them.

It requires not running the same plays, election after election, hoping we’ll see different results. It means being bold and not afraid to fight fire with fire – like I’ve been doing at the cost of my career and reputation.

Look, Democrats’ success last November proved there’s hope. Trump may think he’s a king on a throne, but his wannabe dictatorship is built on a house of cards, and we are this close to toppling it.

If we can take back Congress for Democrats, we can cut Trump’s MAGA agenda off at the knees. To do it, we need a fearless candidate who knows what makes the MAGA machine tick, and who can rewrite the playbook and WIN.

That’s why I’m running, John. I’ve seen firsthand the devastation wrought by the selfishness and narcissism of Trump’s MAGA regime. We cannot let this be our future.
