Too many Michigan families have been hurt by the opioid crisis and have had to grapple with the plague of addiction. That’s why it’s time to act NOW:

There were 2,053 overdose deaths in 2017 alone here in Michigan. The number is shocking, but not surprising when you learn that in Michigan, we have more opioid prescriptions than we have people.

But for too long, we’ve targeted people struggling with addiction -- rather than the pharmaceutical corporations that perpetuated the crisis.

If we’re going to end the opioid crisis once and for all, we need to give people struggling with addiction the resources and opportunities they need to get clean.
