U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz Wants Legal Status for Migrant Workers in Struggling Construction Industry - Republican Representative Monica De La Cruz says she will meet with the U.S. Department of Labor to explore creating a new legal visa pathway for construction workers, modeled after the H-2A program, as South Texas builders report industry workforce shortages are being exacerbated by construction site ICE raids.
