After over 100 days, Oregon’s National Guard is finally demobilizing.

We’re thankful that our brave servicemembers — our neighbors, friends, and family — are finally allowed to go home. The personal sacrifices they made over more than 100 days, including holidays spent in limbo, cannot be understated or ignored.

However, let’s be clear: This is something that should have never happened in the first place.

Donald Trump ignored facts on the ground to unlawfully overstep his powers and fulfill his true focus of provoking cities and states that don’t share his politics.
