Wow. We are winning, Friend!
The effort to repeal HB6 is now
fully bipartisan and supported by Governor Mike DeWine. We are glad to see he
has had a change of heart in the midst of this dark-utility-money
scandal. Now we work to repeal the
law.
Governor DeWine has insisted that his office had no
involvement in the alleged scheme, yet it was revealed yesterday
that Dan McCarthy, a top aide in DeWine's office, was a lobbyist
for an influential Columbus lobbying firm that helped push for the
nuclear bailout.
McCarthy's connection makes us wonder: did DeWine’s office
know of FirstEnergy’s direct role in funding Householder’s run for
speaker and the corrupt pro-HB6 campaign? What other legislators might
be involved? Stay tuned for that shoe to drop as well as more ways for
you to make your voice heard.
Nothing less than a full repeal is acceptable
One year ago yesterday HB6 narrowly passed with one vote in
the House even with all the bribes. This bill is corrupt from
the inside out. You might want to check out how your
legislator voted and if they are up for reelection in the
fall.
We need to keep the pressure on. Will you take a
moment to take action?
