Renee Nicole Good should be alive.

The horrendous videos we are seeing show that Kristi Noem and the Trump administration are lying. I stand with the leaders of Minneapolis and other cities in calling for the removal of aggressive, out-of-control ICE agents before more lives are destroyed and more children are left without their parents.

To be clear—ICE was ripping apart families and acting unlawfully before yesterday's shooting. Law enforcement officers who operate without accountability don't keep communities safe; they put us all in danger. I am leading legislation to end ICE's abusive, authoritarian tactics, and I'm joining several of my colleagues in bringing forward articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem.

Republicans must have courage and join us in stopping the dismantling of democracy. It is past time for them to say enough is enough—masked agents are kidnapping people in front of their children, the president is using our military to invade and threaten sovereign nations, and federal agents are indiscriminately shooting people on our streets.

I will not stop fighting until ICE and this rogue administration are held accountable for these outrageous crimes.
