Together with Daily Kos, Coalition on Human Needs, and other partner organizations - we’ve launched a petition targeted at Congress to make our demands heard: Reduce funding to those responsible for putting immigrant lives at risk. No more ICE detention centers!
Many of our people trapped inside the camps have spoken out over their inability to practice social distancing and lack of sanitation supplies (even basic soap to clean their hands!).
Meanwhile, ICE has refused to take proactive measures and free people to lower risk of infection —-- resulting in 60% of detainees testing positive for COVID-19.
