As we begin this year — and officially kick off the election year — I wanted to reach out. What we do right now will help set the tone for the months ahead, and for one of the most competitive races in the country.

I don’t take this fight lightly. I come from a working-class family — one of eight kids raised by a steelworker and a stay-at-home mom. When my parents were denied health coverage because of preexisting conditions, it nearly cost them everything. That experience is why I ran for Congress, and it’s what still drives me every single day.

Since taking office, I’ve worked across the aisle to expand access to health care, secure clean water for Southern Nevada, strengthen education, and support our veterans. Nevadans didn’t send me to Washington to fight for one party — they sent me to deliver real results.

But here’s the reality: NV-03 is one of the toughest battleground districts in the country, and national Republicans are already gearing up to try to flip this seat. The start of the campaign is when strong teams build momentum — and when we show that we’re ready for the fight ahead.
