Another drive-in movie experience in Oswego!
The Village of Oswego?s retro drive-in movie experience is back. Join us Thursday, July 30, for a socially distanced outdoor movie experience featuring the classic Free Willy.

For just $5 per vehicle (plus applicable online ticketing fee), watch a classic tale of friendship and freedom next Thursday night at the Oswego Park N Ride lot on Station Drive. Plus, each vehicle will get a $5 gift certificate for a sweet treat at La Yummy Michoacana, 4530 Route 71, Oswego, upon arrival. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dark, approximately 9 p.m.?

There are 50 spaces available for this event, and registration is open to Oswego residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Photo ID proving Oswego residency will be required at check-in.

Purchase one ticket per vehicle. A ticket is not required for each individual guest. Make space for the neighbors ? one vehicle only per household, please. In the case of a sold-out event, email [email protected] and request to be added to the mailing list. You will be notified via email if a space opens up.?

To ensure the best viewing experience for everyone, vehicles will be assigned parking based on vehicle size and whether or not the back hatch will remain open during the movie.

La Yummy Michoacana will be selling goodies on site. Please bring cash to support our local Oswego business and enjoy a tasty treat.?

Order food to go in advance from one of Oswego?s many restaurants. Restaurants located immediately adjacent to the Park N Ride lot offering curbside pick-up include:

- Prohibition Junction
- New China Hut
- Chicago Pizza Authority
- McDonald?s
- Taco Bell
Call ahead to check restaurant hours. Patrons are welcome to bring in their own food and beverages.? Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Social distancing guidelines in effect
Keep your family and your community healthy! The following guidelines will be in effect at the event:
- Park your vehicle every other stall, following instructions from parking volunteers
- Watch the movie from your own vehicle
- Wear your face mask when outside of your vehicle
- Maintain 6 feet between yourself and others
- Do not enter the event if you?re feeling ill or have been directed to self-quarantine within the last 14 days
- Families are urged to use bathroom facilities before attending the event; however, port-o-lets will be available for emergencies.

Our summer at-home festival season continues with Wild Daisy! Join the Village of Oswego for one of your favorite summer festival bands, right in your backyard, living room, or anywhere else you can stream, from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 15! ? Wild Daisy's reputation for high-quality, family-friendly crowd-pleasing fun brings high energy even to your live stream. This energetic, dynamic female-fronted upbeat country band (with a few pop/rock songs tossed in) were a crowd favorite at last year's Wine on the Fox! This show will feature their three-piece acoustical set.?
Set the screen up, bring your snacks, drinks and dancing shoes, and tune in to watch on the @GoOswego Facebook page live from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15. ?
