Email from Organization Name Hi John, Yesterday, ICE murdered Minnesotan Renee Good in cold blood. Renee was doing what I’ve done for my community here in Chicago: legally observing and documenting ICE activity in her city to protect her neighbors from the terror of ICE’s brutality. ICE tried to rip her out of her car, and when she began to drive away, an ICE agent fired several shots into her vehicle, striking her in the head. Immediately after the incident, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem released statements justifying the shooting and claiming that Renee had tried to hit the agent with her car. Trump went further, saying on social media that the agent was hospitalized and lucky to be alive. Video of the incident directly refutes this blatant lie:     Immediately after the shooting, ICE did not administer care. A physician on the scene begged the ICE agents to allow them to care for her. ICE blocked their path. It took 10-15 minutes for EMS to arrive at the scene, and by then it was too late. Another innocent person murdered by Trump’s gestapo. In Chicago, we know all too well the violence ICE unleashes on our streets. When Trump launched “Operation Midway Blitz” here, they unleashed hell against my neighbors and I for nothing other than being black or brown. When we protested, they pushed back with thuggish violence, in one instance ramming us with one of their cars and pepper spraying all of us. Now, they have taken their racist abuse to Minnesota, and within days of arriving there, they have already summarily executed a U.S. citizen. This is what happens when you let a rogue federal agency operate above the law with orders to target people based solely on the color of their skin, give any racist willing to participate $50,000, a mask, and a gun, and unleash them on the streets of American cities. ICE needs to be abolished. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem needs to be impeached. ICE agents who have taken part in these crimes against humanity need to be prosecuted. When I get to Congress, I will move swiftly to bring justice for Renee and other victims of ICE. But first, I need your help to get there.
