Once again the Trump administration is blocking a government agency from doing its job — this time they are not allowing the CDC to testify on safely reopening schools during the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s alarming that they are preventing the CDC from appearing when its expertise and guidance could not be more critical to the health and safety of students, parents, and educators.

Additionally, the Trump administration's purposeful lack of transparency is a disservice to our communities that are facing so many difficult decisions about reopening schools.
