One Fatality in Minneapolis After Woman in Vehicle Appeared to Target ICE Agent

Wall Street Journal: A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot a woman during an operation in Minneapolis on Wednesday, leaving federal and city officials sparring over what caused the deadly encounter. The Department of Homeland Security said that the woman attempted to run over law-enforcement officers and that an agent fired in self-defense (Wall Street Journal). New York Post: The woman gunned down by an ICE agent in Minneapolis has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, who described herself as a mother, a wife and a poet. Good was identified by her mom hours after she was killed when she allegedly tried to ram ICE agents on a street in the city, the Star Tribune reported…. Video appeared to show her Honda Pilot making contact with an ICE agent as he opened fire. President Trump and other officials have said Good’s killing was justified…. She was killed in a middle class neighborhood in south Minneapolis where ICE agents were carrying out an immigration operation Wednesday (New York Post).

Tension in Minneapolis as Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey Seed Unrest in Press Briefings After Fatality; Walz Prepares National Guard

Both men engaged in highly irresponsible rhetoric, seeding unrest as opposed to urging calm. Minneapolis Mayor Frey: I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get the f*** out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety and you are doing exactly the opposite. People are being hurt. Families are being ripped apart. Long-term Minneapolis residents that have contributed so greatly to our city, to our culture, to our economy are being terrorized, and now somebody is dead. That’s on you. And it’s also on you to leave. It’s on you to make sure that further damage, further loss of life and injury is not done (EW). Governor Walz: I have a very simple message. We do not need any further help from the federal government. To Donald Trump and Christie Noem, you’ve done enough (X). The governor talked of deploying the national guard: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Wednesday the state’s National Guard was prepared to deploy if necessary following the fatal shooting of a woman during a federal immigration enforcement operation, saying, “We’ve never been at war with our federal government.” During a news conference, Walz said he issued a warning order to the Guard, meaning an initial step to increase preparations should troops be needed amid heightened tensions after Wednesday’s shooting. “We are preparing the National Guard,” he said. “They are prepared to be deployed if necessary” (Fox News).

US Rep. Paulina Luna to Bring Criminal Charges on Gov. Walz and AG Ellison
Serious charges for enormous fraud. Luna: I would like to make criminal referrals regarding Governor Walls as well as A.G. Ellison. As you know, US Code 371 and US Code 2, which deals with criminalized conspiracies to defraud the United States and establishes liability for individuals who knowingly aid or abet the commission of federal offense includes willingfull blindness or deliberate inaction where duties to act exist. So, I will be referring them later on today (Luna). Daily Signal on the hearings yesterday: Congress probed the matter of what Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz knew about the $9 billion fraud scandal in his state at a hearing on Wednesday. Several Minnesota state lawmakers, who have investigated fraud in the state for the past year, testified at a hearing of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee about what they learned from whistleblowers…. The witnesses claimed that Gov. Walz knew about fraud scandals as they were occurring, alleged that the state intimidated whistleblowers, and broached the possibility of funding of foreign terrorism (Daily Signal).

Poll: Public Recognizes Minnesota Fraud Is Tip of Iceberg
That’s the summary of Rasmussen’s polling: The scandal that has rocked Minnesota probably signals that fraud is widespread in federally funded benefit programs nationwide, according to a majority of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is likely that the amount of fraud in Minnesota involving federally funded programs is more than a billion dollars, including 35% who think it is Very Likely. Just 28% don’t consider it likely that the fraud in Minnesota exceeds $1 billion, while 18% are not sure…. Majorities of every racial category – 76% of whites, 71% of black voters, 75% of Hispanics and 72% of other minorities – are at least somewhat angry about the amount of waste, fraud and abuse in federal government spending. Whites are most likely to Strongly Agree that the Minnesota scandal is “just the tip of a very large iceberg” of fraud (Rasmussen).

‘Government declares war on added sugar;’ Trump Administration Releases New Food Pyramid

A major victory for the MAHA movement, the food guidelines prioritize real fool that’s actually healthy. From HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: The new guidelines recognize that whole nutrient dense food is the most effective path to better health and lower healthcare costs. Protein and healthy fats are essential and were wrongly discouraged in prior dietary guidelines. We are ending the war on saturated fats. Diets rich in vegetables and fruits reduce disease risk more effectively than many drugs. All grains outperform refined carbohydrates. Added sugars, especially sugar sweetened beverages drive metabolic disease. And today our government declares war on added sugar. Highly processed foods loaded with additives, added sugar and excess salt damaged health and should be avoided. As Secretary of Health and Human Services, my message is clear, eat real food (Fox). HHS calls it “the most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in decades:” The new Guidelines deliver a clear, common-sense message to the American people: eat real food. The U.S. faces a national health emergency. Nearly 90% of health care spending goes toward treating chronic disease, much of it linked to diet and lifestyle. More than 70% of American adults are overweight or obese, and nearly 1 in 3 adolescents has prediabetes. Diet-driven chronic disease now disqualifies many young Americans from military service, threatening national readiness and limiting opportunity (HHS). From their presentation: For the first time, we’re calling out the dangers of highly processed food and rebuilding a broken system from the ground up with gold-standard science and common sense (Real Food).

CDC Releases New Set of Recommendations for Childhood Immunization
The new food guidelines (above) come on the heels of new recommended vaccination schedule—significantly reducing the number of recommended injections for our little ones. HHS: After a scientific review of the underlying science, comparing the U.S. child and adolescent immunization schedule with those of peer, developed nations, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Acting Director Jim O’Neill has updated the U.S. childhood immunization schedule. The CDC will continue to recommend that all children are immunized against 10 diseases for which there is international consensus, as well as varicella (chickenpox). For other diseases, the CDC will recommend immunization for high-risk groups and populations, or through shared clinical decision making when it is not possible for public health authorities to clearly define who will benefit from an immunization. The updated schedule is in contrast to the CDC child and adolescent schedule at the end of 2024, which recommended 17 immunizations for all children (HHS).

Trump Presses for Significant Increase in Defense Budget
Those who are serious about protecting America and the American way of life ought support such spending. Trump on Wednesday afternoon: After long and difficult negotiations with Senators, Congressmen, Secretaries, and other Political Representatives, I have determined that, for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times, our Military Budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 Trillion Dollars, but rather $1.5 Trillion Dollars. This will allow us to build the “Dream Military” that we have long been entitled to and, more importantly, that will keep us SAFE and SECURE, regardless of foe. If it weren’t for the tremendous numbers being produced by Tariffs from other Countries, many of which, in the past, have “ripped off” the United States at levels never seen before, I would stay at the $1 Trillion Dollar number but, because of Tariffs, and the tremendous Income that they bring, amounts being generated, that would have been unthinkable in the past … we are able to easily hit the $1.5 Trillion Dollar number while, at the same time, producing an unparalleled Military Force, and having the ability to, at the same time, pay down Debt, and likewise, pay a substantial Dividend to moderate income Patriots within our Country! (Truth).

Trump Presses Raytheon on Delays in Defense Production; Issues Executive Order Prioritizing the Warfighter
The sense of urgency is growing as we see an increasingly assertive and belligerent CCP—along with Russia, Iran and North Korea. Trump: I have been informed by the Department of War that Defense Contractor, Raytheon, has been the least responsive to the needs of the Department of War, the slowest in increasing their volume, and the most aggressive spending on their Shareholders rather than the needs and demands of the United States Military. Raytheon seems to think this is the Biden Administration, and this is “business as usual,” IT’S NOT! Either Raytheon steps up, and starts investing in more upfront Investment like Plants and Equipment, or they will no longer be doing business with Department of War. Also, if Raytheon wants further business with the United States Government, under no circumstances will they be allowed to do any additional Stock Buybacks, where they have spent Tens of Billions of Dollars, until they are able to get their act together. Our Country comes FIRST, and they’re going to have to learn that, the hard way! (Truth). From the Executive Order: While the United States produces the best military equipment in the world, we do not make enough of it quickly enough to meet the needs of our military and our partners.  As a result, in these dangerous times, it is imperative that our defense contractors be held to the highest standards intended to ensure the advancement of core national interests, including with respect to the timeliness and quality of the defense items that they deliver (White House).

Trump Issues Memoranda Withdrawing US From 66 International Organizations
Including 31 UN entities, like the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the UN Population Fund and the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. The memorandum makes clear that further withdrawals will continue, as the president says, “My review of further findings of the Secretary of State remains ongoing.” From the memorandum: I hereby direct all executive departments and agencies (agencies) to take immediate steps to effectuate the withdrawal of the United States from the organizations listed in section 2 of this memorandum as soon as possible.  For United Nations entities, withdrawal means ceasing participation in or funding to those entities to the extent permitted by law (White House).

Trump Moves to Stop Investment Firms From Buying Single-Family Homes
There are questions about whether or not he can legally do so. It’s also clear that the practice of Wall Street-backed firms buying up homes is making the American dream more elusive. Wall Street Journal: President Trump said he will ban large investors from buying single-family homes, the administration’s first significant move to address the country’s severe housing shortage. “I am immediately taking steps to ban large institutional investors from buying more single-family homes, and I will be calling on Congress to codify it. People live in homes, not corporations,” Trump said in a social-media post Wednesday…. Investor purchases have also made it harder for some first-time buyers to compete with Wall Street-backed investment firms, with their all-cash offers. Institutions don’t always offer more money, but they are able to close a deal quickly and rarely quibble over worn flooring or dated bathrooms (Wall Street Journal).
