President Trump is leading us toward war with Venezuela — without Congress, without accountability, and without the Constitution.
Let me be clear: this is dangerous, unconstitutional, and unacceptable.
The Trump administration has all but admitted the truth — this is about oil and control, not democracy. While Nicolás Maduro is a brutal dictator, that does not give any president the authority to launch a war or pursue regime change on their own. The Constitution is clear: only Congress can authorize war.
Instead of lowering costs, fixing health care, or helping families here at home, Donald Trump is once again steering the country toward another foreign conflict. We’ve seen where this road leads. Endless war. Lost lives. Trillions of taxpayer dollars wasted.
Congress must act immediately.
I am calling for a War Powers vote to block any unauthorized military action against Venezuela. And we need Republicans to step up and put the Constitution over party — before it’s too late.
