Yesterday's fifth anniversary of January 6, when Trump encouraged a violent mob to storm the United States Capitol as the Congress voted to certify the results of the 2020 election, was a sobering reminder of his efforts to dismantle our constitution. 

Donald Trump has continued his attack on our democracy by punishing Colorado for not releasing Tina Peters, who tried to undermine the 2020 election as a Colorado election official, to federal custody. He's issued meaningless pardons for her, stripped Colorado of disaster funding, moved Space Command out of Colorado Springs, vetoed legislation that would provide 50,000 Coloradans with clean drinking water, and attacks our mail-in ballot system on a regular basis.

Coloradans know that Trump is not fit to be President and that’s why he’s never won an election here -- that's also why he's so mad at us. In 2026, a Democratic House majority that holds Trump accountable can be won right here in Colorado, sending a strong message to Trump.
