The Trump administration just announced it intends to control Venezuelan oil “indefinitely” after illegally attacking the country and abducting its president last weekend.
Now, a billionaire Republican megadonor is about to make BILLIONS of dollars off of this imperialist coup.
Not only is Paul Singer on track to make billions off Trump’s coup in Venezuela, but he is also one of the biggest donors to AIPAC's Super PAC, and notably flew corrupt Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito out on his private jet in the hopes of winning favorable decisions in front of the Court.
This is our oligarchy in action — a small circle of billionaires buying our government to ensure this country is run for and by them.
Trump and his authoritarian government are throwing us into another forever war for the sake of making rich megadonors like Singer even richer. Venezuela is not a U.S. colony, and it is shameful how little Democratic leadership has done to stop this.
We desperately need more Democrats in Congress who refuse to be bought by AIPAC and billionaire megadonors, and are willing to fight this with everything they’ve got.
