This week, the White House published a partisan website that is full of false information in an effort to rewrite history about the January 6th attack on the Capitol and 2020 presidential election.
It falsely portrays the violent mob on that day as “peaceful,” shifts blame away from those responsible to Democrats, and reinforces the dangerous narrative that the election was stolen. This is a lie, full stop.
Donald Trump lost the 2020 election fairly, decisively, and verifiably. Dozens of courts across the country rejected lawsuits and fraud claims. State officials from both parties certified the results. Recounts, audits, and investigations all reached the same conclusion: the election was safe and secure.
Here’s the truth: January 6 was not caused by Nancy Pelosi, Democrats, or “security lapses.” The nearly 1,600 rioters pardoned by Trump are not patriots. And the election was not rigged against him.
This administration’s attempt to erase history is meant to undermine confidence in our elections so future losses can be dismissed, overturned, or ignored. When those in power deny the verifiability of elections, they are not defending democracy — they are eroding it.
