The hypocrisy of the Trump administration is downright mind-boggling.
Remember how Americans elected Donald Trump because he said he was going to take us out of endless wars? Well, Trump took unilateral military action in Venezuela. Now, he has threatened Greenland, Colombia, and Mexico.
Remember how Trump promised to lower costs? Turns out, he only meant handing out tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans while kicking millions of Americans off their health care to pay for it.
Remember how Americans elected him to make their communities safer? Then Trump nominated the dangerously unqualified Pete Hegseth to lead our nation’s troops. Every day that Hegseth remains secretary of defense puts our country’s national security at risk.
Where is the line? When will Republicans find a spine to say this is ridiculous and dangerous?
The midterm elections are our chance to flip the balance of power in Washington and put guardrails on the hypocrisy, chaos, and corruption that has defined the second Trump administration.
But we can’t sit back and hope for the best. We need to organize, mobilize, and work harder than we ever have before to win big in November.
