Rep. Fine stated regarding mainstream Muslims:

“I don’t know how you make peace with those who seek your destruction, I think you destroy them first.”

“Mainstream Muslims have declared war on us. The least we can do is kick them the hell out of America.”

In response, we have launched a public pressure campaign to demand accountability from Congress in response to Congressman Randy Fine’s sustained pattern of Islamophobic rhetoric and his recent remarks during a congressional hearing that amounted to an open call for politically motivated violence.

At a time of heightened political tension, increasing threats against public officials, and rising violence targeting marginalized communities, Representative Fine’s conduct is reckless, dangerous, and incompatible with the responsibilities of public office. Congress has an obligation to uphold standards of conduct that protect public safety, democratic norms, and the dignity of all communities.

These statements are unacceptable and demand a formal response. We are urging members of the House of Representatives to publicly support the formal censure of Congressman Randy Fine and to call for his immediate removal from all committee assignments.
