John,

The media landscape has changed dramatically in the first year of Trump’s return to the White House.

Here’s the hard reality most Americans don’t fully see:

A small group of Trump-backing, billionaire-aligned corporations now controls the vast majority of what Americans see, hear, search, and consume as news. Cable networks. Social media platforms. Search engines. AI tools. Streaming services. Everything.

With nearly 10 million followers, COURIER is one of the fastest-growing media networks in the country. We are fiercely independent — and we rely on grassroots support, not sucking up to Trump or a billionaire boardroom, to make our journalism freely available to anyone who needs it. [[link removed]]

Here’s what the new, right-wing-dominated media ecosystem looks like:

* Larry and David Ellison are top Trump donors who control massive entertainment and distribution platforms through Paramount, CBS News, Pluto TV, and now TikTok.
* Mark Zuckerberg gave $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund and has been a dinner guest at Mar-a-Lago. He controls the entire Meta ecosystem — Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, and Messenger — platforms that continue to algorithmically reward outrage, disinformation, and right-wing political content.
* The Sinclair family controls one of the largest local TV affiliate networks in the country. Conservative backers, they push coordinated right-wing talking points across CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and CW local stations nationwide.
* Jeff Bezos owns Amazon, The Washington Post, Prime Video, Twitch, and Wondery. He has spent much of Trump’s second term aligning his business empire with the Trump administration.
* Elon Musk , who led the destruction of the federal government under DOGE, owns X. He has used the platform to actively boost Trump, reinstate extremist accounts, and turn it into a MAGA megaphone.

We could go on and on. But here’s the point.

Too many legacy outlets are still pretending every issue has “both sides,” even as Trump and his billionaire media allies erode democracy to push a far-right agenda.

For billionaire owners, that kind of coverage is about access and profits over any obligation to the public.

Stories that challenge power don’t get banned — they get buried under cowardly journalism.

That’s why COURIER exists.

Our mission is to keep courage and truth alive at dangerous moment for our country. We exist to:

* Confront MAGA propaganda head-on
* Call authoritarian threats what they are
* Build a media infrastructure strong enough to win the information war ahead of the 2026 midterms

Since Trump’s reelection, COURIER has surged in reach and impact across the digital spaces where the right wing has long dominated. Millions are turning to our reporting because they know we’re telling the truth others won’t.

That kind of journalism doesn’t survive on ad dollars or corporate backing. It survives because readers like you fund it.

If you want a media system that tells the truth instead of protecting power, help us build it. [[link removed]]
