Dear John,

Yesterday, President Trump told members of the House GOP that they “have to be a little flexible on Hyde” when it comes to health care bills. Under no circumstances should taxpayer dollars be used to end the lives of preborn children.

Together, we must oppose any health care plans that fail to protect the preborn. Contact your Members of Congress now and urge them to vote “NO” on any bill that does not explicitly contain Hyde protections.

The Hyde Amendment, passed in 1976, prohibits the use of federal taxpayer funds to pay for abortions or health insurance plans that provide coverage for abortions. Since the Amendment's passage, more than 2.6 million children have been saved.

As healthcare proposals continue to be debated, a critical part of the negotiation is the extension of now expired enhanced COVID-era Obamacare insurance subsidies. While Obamacare insurance subsidies were purportedly designed to make health coverage more affordable, they were stealthily structured in a way that does not protect the preborn, using hard-earned American tax dollars for abortion.

Whether Congress replaces or renews Obamacare, it must do so with full Hyde protections.

Abortion is not healthcare, and the funding of abortion with your money must not continue.

Now more than ever, your voice is needed. Contact your elected officials and demand that they protect life, fully apply Hyde protections to all healthcare plans, and put an end to taxpayer-funded abortion.

Thank you for standing for life.

Blessings,
