Color Of Change and the National Education Association (NEA) are inviting you to a co-branded virtual town hall designed specifically for Black parents and guardians

John,

Public education is one of the strongest tools we have for Black opportunity, Black history, and Black self-determination. And right now, it’s under coordinated attack through a new wave of school voucher schemes being marketed as “scholarships.”

That’s why Color Of Change and the National Education Association (NEA) are inviting you to a virtual town hall designed specifically for Black parents, families, and communities.

NEA x Color Of Change Town Hall:

Vouchers Disguised as Scholarships: Don’t Be Fooled: What Black parents should know (and do) about the new Trump voucher scheme

When: January 21, 2026 at 8 pm EST
Where: Virtual - Register here
Length: 60 minutes

School vouchers are being sold as a quick fix but in practice, they often drain resources from neighborhood public schools, expand privatization, and leave Black families holding the risk. This town hall will unpack what’s really happening, how these policies impact Black communities, and what you can do to protect and strengthen your local public schools.

We will have some amazing special guest speakers including Becky Pringle, President of the NEA, Amanda Hollowell, Chief of Campaigns at Color of Change, and a powerful panel featuring a parents, educators, and policy experts, each with first-hand experience with voucher programs

We hope you’ll join us because our children deserve fully funded public schools, not privatization disguised as “choice.”
